Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found.
Here are three random things (in no particular order) that I am really loving this week. Maybe you’ll find them interesting, too!
#1 – Kantha Quilt
I discovered Kantha quilts several years ago and absolutely love them! These quilts are generally made by women in Bengal that use vintage saris and cloth and simple stitching to make light blankets and throws. The combinations of fabrics, the layers, and the stitching make these quilts beautiful. Several years ago I was lucky enough to receive a kantha bag as a Christmas gift from a dear friend – it remains my favorite bag. I love the splashes of colors these quilts bring to a room. They just make me smile.
#2 – Vintage Beehive Lamp
We’ve been going through my parents house and have been finding fun things we remember from our childhood. I remember Mom and Dad had a pair of these plastic beehive lamps on wood tripods in our family room. They were a lime green and I always thought they were so cool. I don’t know whatever happened to those lamps (I hope we didn’t break them as kids), but I’m hoping we find them in storage at my parents house. I was doing a little research to find more information about the lamps they had and stumbled on this purple lamp. It’s similar to the lamps Mom and Dad had. I sure would love to have those lamps again – I’d be using them in our bedroom on the night stands. So cool!
#3 – Adrian Pearsall Chair
Isn’t this chair awesome? I really love most of the chair designs of Adrian Pearsall, but this chaise is one of my favorites. I belong to a mid-century Facebook group and someone had posted a similar chair they recently found. Of course, I had to see if I could find something and ended up landing on this chair. Oh, how I would LOVE to add this chair to my bedroom. That would be so cool. For now, I’m just going to have to enjoy looking at the photo. If you know of anyone downsizing that has a vintage chair like this, please let me know!

What an unusual chair? It would be a great conversation piece.
