Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found.
Here are three random things (in no particular order) that I am really loving this week. Maybe you’ll find them interesting, too!
#1 – Individual Carafe Set
I originally spotted this carafe set in the NapaStyle catalog several years ago. That catalog has since gone out of business (darn). This week, I was looking for some fun glasses for the holidays and this image popped up. Thinking this set was perfect, I did a search to find if this set is still available through another store. It is, but at astronomical prices. I really like the unique raised parts on the glasses, so I’ve decided to make my own carafe set that will be similar to this set. Stay tuned, and I’ll share how they turn out.
#2 – Grow Grass Indoors
With snow already on the ground here in Minnesota, I already miss the green grass. When I stumbled on this kit this week, I decided to start growing my own grass – indoors! Any planter will work, you just need potting soil and wheatgrass seeds. I think this makes a unique indoor houseplant – it’s simple yet elegant and interesting to look at. Now I just have to make sure to keep our cats from eating it!
#3 – Grub Mugs
I had to laugh when I spotted this set of mugs. At first, I thought they were just whimsical coffee mugs, and they certainly could be used for coffee – but they are actually mugs that have recipes on them for making quick and easy meals right in the mug! One of my teen sons has always liked experimenting with things he can make in a mug in the microwave (his crazy cake is pretty good). I just have to get this set for him as a Christmas gift this year – he’s going to love them! I think this set would be awesome for a college student, too. How fun!
