Well, the last days of Summer are upon us. That means my least favorite season is just around the corner – Fall. UGH! I dislike Fall mainly because all my plants and gardens will soon die off. All that hard work of planting and nurturing the plants since Spring comes to an end.
I enjoy being surrounded by plants all year and just wish more of the largest plants I have could survive our Minnesota Winters. With frosty nights not too far away, it’s time for me to start thinking about what I’m going to do with all my large plants on the patios – specifically where I’m going to put them all in order to over-Winter them until next year. This year, I placed eleven Majesty Palms around our patios – nine of which are 7-feet tall. I also have three Banana Trees that have grown to 8-feet tall, and an Elephant’s Ear that has the largest leaves I’ve ever grown. I don’t want these tropical plants to suffer the soon-to-come frosty nights, so I’ll be bringing in all these plants to enjoy them in the house over the Winter. Hmmm… if only I had a greenhouse…
Here’s this week’s entryway sign…
I keep this letterboard sign outside on one of our front entry landings and change it each week – so much fun! For more letterboard quotes, sayings, and ideas – click letterboards.
