#1 – Giant Outdoor Chess Set with Board
I have been eyeing these giant outdoor chess sets for quite a few years now. I was excited again when this set showed up while I was searching online for black and white patio decor.
My kids and I enjoy playing chess. And we enjoy being outside in the yard. What a perfect blend of these two things! The game pieces in this set are 16-inches tall and the overall size of the chessboard is 56-inches square – just the right size for pretty much any backyard or driveway.
This chess set would be fun to set up for backyard BBQ parties, family reunion picnics, outdoor birthday parties, and for every day outdoor fun. This game could be set up in the grass, on a patio, deck, or even on a driveway. You could leave it set up all Summer long – you never know when a game of chess will break out, or pack it up and take it with you on a picnic in the park. When not in use, it makes a fun yard decor piece as well.
#2 – Large Black Slate Rubber Urn Planter
This modern style black slate rubber urn makes a unique planter for your front entry or driveway.
I love that this 23-inch tall urn planter is unbreakable and can last through all seasons. I also appreciate that the planter is made from recycled rubber tires – and is plant-safe. The shape of the planter is a modern spin on a classic shape and can dress up any porch, patio, deck, or entryway. The black color fits in with any decor style and creates a statement in any space.
The planter has a removable drain plug so it can be used indoors or outdoors.
Change the contents of the planter for each season, or enjoy the same plants year-round. Use a tall plant – such as an ornamental grass – in the middle. Tuck several medium-sized flowering annuals around the planter, and add flowing vines that spill over the edge and trail down over the urn for a great look. Where would you use this planter?
#3 – Large White Serving Tray
This plain white serving tray has so many uses! I know it might not look very special, but because of it’s simple style and white color, this tray can fit into any decor and is so functional.
Use the tray to carry your favorite ice-cold beverages out to a deck, porch, or patio to share with a friend or family member. Dress the tray up with a linen or vintage tea towel to add a splash of color – this allows you to change the ‘mood’ of the moment with the decor you choose.
The tray would also look great on a coffee table (indoors or out) holding several potted plants – houseplants for inside and fun flowering annuals for outside.
Use the tray on a center island or kitchen counter to hold fresh fruits – bananas, apples, pears, oranges – yum!
Pack yourself a personal picnic, then use the tray to carry everything outside to your backyard oasis and enjoy lunch outside in the sunshine. Don’t forget to bring your favorite book!
The tray also makes an excellent organizer for craft supplies! Fill one or more of the trays with your various supplies, then when you need a break from your project, just tuck the tray away until you’re ready to work on your project again.
So many clever uses! How would you use this tray?
