A friend recently loaned me a copy of one of her favorite books – “Water for Elephants“. She didn’t say anything about it, just that she thought I would enjoy it. At first glance, it probably isn’t a book I would have selected on my own. But as I began reading, a surprising thing happened – I realized I was hooked!
As the story unfolded, I found myself unexpectedly captivated by the characters, their emotions, and even the theme of the story. The novel’s sense of nostalgia, both for a bygone era and for the simpler, yet raw and intense connections between people, is what makes “Water for Elephants” truly enchanting. It’s a story that lingers long after the final page. I’m so glad she loaned this book to me!
