Fill a holiday-print oven mitt with candies, and other festive finds. Everyone likes a seasonal oven mitt to brighten up their kitchen for the holidays. Add a practical gift of beverage napkins, some sweet treats, and a holiday scented candle to bring good cheer!
Oven Mitt “Gift Bag” Filled with Fun Finds
What You Need:
- Holiday Print Oven Mitt
- Holiday Bell Door Knob Hanger
- Holiday Beverage Napkins
- Holiday Candy in a Box
- Holiday Peppermint Stripe Candies
- Holiday Hot Cocoa Packets
- Holiday Scented Candle
- Gift Tag
What You Do:
- Sew a holiday bell door knob hanger onto the oven mitt to embellish your “gift bag”. If you can’t find a door knob hanger, a festive holiday ornament would also work.
- Tuck several peppermint stripe candies into the thumb of the oven mitt, then fill in the fingertip area of the oven mitt with more candies. I wrapped candies in fun holiday zip-top bags.
- Since an entire box of hot cocoa packets isn’t going to fit inside the oven mitt, place the packets into holiday zip-top bags, then tuck the bags into the oven mitt.
- Wrap a small votive candle and slip that into the oven mitt.
- Top off with a box of holiday candy and a package of seasonal napkins. I slipped a retro Fortune Telling Fish in the oven mitt as well.
- Tie a gift tag to the oven mitt hanger, and you have a fun gift to give!
I put together a bunch of these gifts and hung them in our kitchen on the cabinet handles. I’ll take them down as neighbors stop by to present them with their gift.
