A crowned pigeon, [POOF!] a reappearing pouf, and edible flower petals (yum)… Check out this week’s fun finds!

#1 – Crowned Pigeon Statue
I can’t explain it. Don’t even ask me to try. But for some unknown reason, I just love this statue. When I first spotted it, I giggled out loud. This crowned bird with it’s sort of cranky face made me feel happy. Not that I don’t always feel happy, I’m pretty much happy all the time. At any rate, I love this statue. And… I have just the place for him in my cabinet of curiosities – cranky face and all.
#2 – Old Bengali Patch Pouf
This old bengali patch pouf found it’s way into my social media news feeds this past week. This is not my first encounter with this pouf. Oh no indeed. As a matter of fact, I originally spotted this pouf years ago and it’s been on my “dream wish list” ever since. Isn’t it fabulous?! I love the bright colors. The patterns. I love that it’s made out of vintage sari fabrics. I think it tells a story.
Last year, I actually got to see this pouf in person! I was at the store and touched it! I SO wanted to buy it and take it home with me!
While this pouf still hasn’t made it’s way into my home (she says crossing her fingers and hoping her husband reads this article and maybe thinks this would be a great holiday gift – hint, hint), it’s still on my “dream wish list”. What do you think of this positively perfect pouf?
#3 – Edible Botanical Flower Set
Look. What. I. Found!
Oh good glory! I completely stumbled on this set of edible botanical flowers while searching for special teas to give as a gift. I was curious when I saw the photo and when I read that these are edible dried flowers, I knew the perfect use for this set! I am SO excited to use this set for the holidays!
Throughout the Spring and Summer months, I have flower gardens all around our property, with lots of flowers that are edible. I like to include those flower petals in things like ice cubes, on top of frosted cakes and as ice cream toppings. Well, it’s practically Winter here and there are no more flowers or flower petals. So… I’m going to use the dried petals and buds in this set as replacements and I’m going to rock those holiday treats!
